Challenge
The client wanted to launch a premium Shopify store with a strong membership-based USP. The key challenge was implementing a custom membership pricing model that allowed both members and non-members to shop seamlessly—without forcing new customers into a frustrating two-step process of purchasing a membership first and then returning to buy products. Existing app-based solutions were either too limiting or added friction to the checkout experience.
Solution
I rebuilt the Shopify website with a clean, premium design and developed a fully custom membership system tailored to the client’s business model.
The solution included:
Displaying both standard and member pricing clearly on product pages
A custom popup flow that prompts non-members to either log in or add a membership to cart when selecting member pricing
Allowing customers to purchase membership and products together in a single checkout
A dynamic setup so new products automatically follow the same membership rules without ongoing developer involvement
All functionality was built with scalability and long-term flexibility in mind.
